Speech and Debate Teacher
American Heritage Schools-Broward Campus August 2023–Present I lead speech and debate classes in both the Lower and Upper schools with students ranging from 4th grade to 12th grade. I act as the head coach for the Congressional Debate, Limited Preparation, and World Schools Debate squads. The American Heritage School speech and debate team is in the top 10 of the country. In the 2023-24 season, we had nineteen state finalists, a combined 33 bids to the Tournament of Champions, and qualified 28 students to the National Speech and Debate Tournament.

DEI and Community Planning Coordinator
Kitsap County Commissioner's Office August 2022–July 2023 This was a one-year fellowship through Lead For America's National Hometown Fellowship, a program which placed young professionals into service programs in their hometowns. At the County, I led the research and development of a new DEI program and provided support to the subarea planning team.

Content Manager
TalkMaze April 2020-June 2022 At TalkMaze, I led a team of two-dozen educators from around the world to create a standardized curriculum for TalkMaze's distance-learning classes and oversaw the construction of those courses. I also developed on-demand courses for World Schools and Public Forum Debate, which included the creation of scripts, videos, and supplemental documents for aspiring learners.

Overtime Session Field Organizer Intern
Civic Ventures January 2020 As an intern in Civic Ventures' field organizer program, I worked alongside experienced organizers on the successful "Restore Our Time" campaign, which resulted in Washington adopting the strongest overtime protections in the nation. I connected citizens and local political party members to their representatives in the State Legislature and organized volunteers to travel to Olympia for direct advocacy.

MA, Theory and Practice of Human Rights
University of Essex September 2021–June 2022 My research focued on transgender youth and whether current efforts to legislate their existence constitute human rights violations. I graduated with the Kevin Boyle Memorial Prize for being the top student in my program.

BA, Political Science and Gender, Sexuality, & Race Studies
Pacific Lutheran University September 2019–May 2021 My capstone projects focused on progressive challengers to moderate Democrats and on identity-based arguments in Competitive speech and debate. I graduated cum laude.
